Alvaro Bautista says their main problem with the bike remains unresolved – MotoGP news
Alvaro Bautista of San Carlo Honda Gresini says the main problem with their bike remains unresolved even after the test session at Brno.
He said that they worked a lot during the Brno test to resolve the problems they have been facing from the start of the season. He added that the bike jumps on corner entry.
Bautista said, “During the day we worked a lot because we have had a problem all season, especially on corner entry, as the bike jumps a lot.”
Furthermore, he said that in order to resolve the problems they tried many options from Showa, but it was not fruitful.
The Spanish rider said that they have been able to gather some details which can be helpful in future but the main problem with the grip is still there.
“We were focussing on resolving this problem and tried many many things from Showa, but we didn’t find what we want,” the Spaniard said. “On the other hand we found some small details that can help us in the future, but the big problem we have is still not resolved.”
Furthermore, he said that the useful technical data they have gathered during the Brno test will be used to generate better results at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix scheduled on September 16th, 2012.
Bautista faced a lot of problems at Brno Grand Prix, however managed to attain a 6th position. The problems he faced were mainly related to the grip. His bike was sliding on the rear tyre therefore, he was not able to push the bike as he wanted to.
He managed to finish the race with a gap of 29.451 seconds from Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda, the leader of the race, adding 10 championship points. The rider with the Honda bike was able to achieve a top speed of 164.5 km/h.
His teammate, Michele Pirro was only able to make it to the 14th position at the Czech Republic GP. He has also stated that he faced a lot of problems during Brno GP. He commented that the only good thing about the race was that they were able to make it to the finish line.
