Alvaro Bautista tests Suzuki after accident – MotoGP news
Prime rider for Suzuki, Alvaro Bautista is recovering well from his last surgery at Madrid.

Bautista was present at the Gran Premio bwin de Espana, but was not in for race. Bautista tried to sit on the Suzuki GSV-R in the garage.
Rizla Suzuki’s solo running man got his left femur fractured during a free practice session for the first round of the season at the Losail circuit, Qatar. He was immediately taken to Clinica Mobile. After a fracture was diagnosed, further medical
facility was availed at the Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha.
The Suzuki No. 19 rider, Bautista is now having an intensive physical rehabilitation program in Madrid to recover as soon as possible. The therapy also includes a hyperbaric chamber to provide his body with more amount of Oxygen to help and enhance
his recovery process.
Bautista was in the garage at the second race of the season at Jerez last weekend, but only watching his substitute John Hopkins to race at the track for his Rizla Suzuki team. He felt strange being at the race but not in the racing leathers.

While looking at the bike in the garage he could not resist sitting on one of them. He tried to sit on one of them, but very carefully he could and it was difficult for him to get on and off the bike. Once he was sitting on the bike, it was a pleasure
for him, with no stress on his injured leg.
His effort to be seated on the bike was helpful for him, as he got to know which part of his leg needs to concentrate for the recovery to improve strength and flexibility. It was beneficial step for him.
The doctors have expressed that the recovery from injuries is good and quick, but Bautista feels it the other way, anxious to get back on his No. 19 Suzuki. The movement of his leg is getting close to normal and the inflammation is reducing. Bautista
feels, by the next week he will be able to start the training to get back racing soon.
John Hopkins, the American rider was the player chosen by the Rizla Suzuki Team to their bike for the second of the MotoGP 2011 season at Jerez. Due to Bautista’s fracture, Suzuki was not able to run in the season opener round at Qatar. Although Rizla
Suzuki tried to contact a couple of drivers, but Hopper was stuck in America and was not available in time for race, even if he took the earliest flight back to Qatar. The other rider was from Japan and could not fly to Qatar because of the Japanese earthquake
and tsunami disaster.
At Gran Premio bwin de Espana, Hopkins finished at 10th place in wet conditions, where many top stars were counted out of race after having falls. Bautista will not be running at bwin Grande Premio de Portugal, due his physical condition
and Hopkins is also busy with his British Superbike commitments in same racing weekend, leaving Suzuki nearly out of options.
