http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-c5280 Pereira is likely to stay with FC Porto, says agent – Portuguese Primeira Liga News
Alvaro Pereira’s agent, Alejandro Savich, has revealed that his client is happy at FC Porto and intends to stay with the club despite reports claiming that the 25-year-old will reunite with his former coach, Andre Villas-Boas, at Chelsea.
Pereira’s agent has laid rest to claims that his client is on verge of completing a move to English Premier League giants, Chelsea, and said that the defender is yet to receive any offer for his services.
Alejandro Savich was keen to waive off any reports linking the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/CFR-Cluj-c38778 man with a switch to Stamford Bridge and reiterated that a move was not on the cards for Pereira.
"Until now there has been no contact with us. In fact, I can say more: this time we have no offers from any club for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Pereira-c5297.
"I can only speak about the present and the truth is that there are no official offers.” The agent revealed.
Savich also revealed that the full-back was due back in training with the Dragons shortly but said that while no proposal had been tabled yet, he could not say what lied ahead in the upcoming weeks of the transfer window.
"He will start training on Wednesday with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186. But the market only closes on August 31 and until then anything can happen.” He added.
Lastly, the representative added that the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 winner was eager to live out his contract at Estadio do Dragao although that stance could change in the future.
"Alvaro is aware that he has a contract until 2015 and that for now is focused on FC Porto, but also knows that things change quickly and that any time something could happen,” Savich concluded.
While Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain look set to battle out to land one of the most highly rated defenders in Europe, the player himself is thinking of continuing his spell with Porto and his declination to avail any offer could put an end to this protracted
transfer saga, for once and all.
