In a practice match before the US Open, it was a regular day and Quiros was swinging aggressively. Until the crowd started applauding the Spanish golfer and he seemed unreal. Quiros did not realize that he actually got the ball in the hole on a par-4.
“We thought it was going to be more in the middle of the green. Suddenly, we see the people stand... When we start to get closer to the green people start congratulating me, and that's when I realized it was an albatross,” said the delighted golfer.
