Daniel Alves recently revealed that the victory which he enjoyed the most was against Barcelona when he played for Sevilla against La Blaugrana during the European Super Cup.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Alves was recently quizzed about the title he cherishes the most and while recalling the time he spent back in Sevilla, the Brazilian full-back said that his first title is something which he can never forget.
The former Sevilla player once came against La Blaugrana and helped them win in the European Super Cup, something which he thinks was impossible back in those days.
Alves claims that since Barcelona recently won the UEFA Champions League alongside Ronaldinho, beating them was somewhat impossible but Sevilla were still able to do it as they managed to keep their spirits high.
The Brazilian star has now won a lot of titles which he can think about once he retires from club and international football.
Alves has been a part of that Barcelona team which managed to make history and won each and every title within its capacity.
While playing under Josep Guardiola, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 managed to win all the six trophies in a single season, something which no other team has managed to do in the history of football.
However, Alves claims that even though he has won so much silverware with Barcelona, the triumph against Barcelona in the European Super Cup back in 2007 is something that he can never forget.
“Certainly it's difficult to choose one title over another. But emotionally the first is always important and my first was the European Super Cup when Sevilla beat Barcelona 3-0.”
“Nobody expected it because the opponent was Barca and they had only just won the Champions League with Ronaldinho. Thanks to our value and motivation, we changed the mentality of Sevilla.”
Daniel Alves then joined Barcelona in the season after that and helped them win a historical sextuple.
He immediately made it into the Barcelona first-team and is now considered as a vital part of the team as he managed to prove at least 20 assists to his name every season, something not common in all the full-backs of the world today.
