Alvin and the chipmunks bday party?

I am having problems coming up with decorations for a three year old bday party since there are no alvin and the chipmunks party decorations. any ideas would be appreciated. i do not need ideas for activities, thanks.

There's still lots you can do!

Go to Toys R' Us and check out the Alvin and the Chipmunks toys.  If there's anything there like beanie baby size, get them just one of each character and put them around the party area.  If there's a movie poster, get that and hang that around the party area.

Go the Alvin and the Chipmunks website and see what they're offering there, I'm sure they have movie posters and things there.

For decorations, go with the colors of their shirts!  They all have yellow initials, so you can do yellow balloons, with red for Alvin's shirt, green, and then blue, so you can do yellow, blue, and green balloons, to represent the colors on their shirts and do this with the streamers.  Everyone there will see that it's the colors of their clothing!

I would try and see if you can find some movie posters and even some stuffed versions in beanie baby size and have them around, but you can definitely get away with doing the balloons and streamers in the colors of their shirts, after all, their shirt colors have been around since they've been around, I'm in my 30s and I grew up with them and saw the in concert when I was little and they were wearing those same colored shirts with the yellow initials on them!  Everyone knows that Alvin's shirt is red and then Theodore's is Green and Simon's is blue, I think that's it, and then the initials are always yellow.  So you can do the balloons and streamers in those colors and then whichever one is your child's favorite, do that one for the tablecloth, etc, and then do the napkins in yellow to accent it.

This way you have all the chipmunks represented with the balloons and streamers, and when it's time for the tablecloths, either do your child's favorite, or if you have more than one table, do each one's shirt color.  You can do one table red with yellow napkins, one green with yellow napkins, and one blue with yellow napkins.  Otherwise, do the table in your child's favorite chipmunk and accent it in the yellow napkins to reprent the initial on the shirt.

You can do pin the intial on the shirt.  Pick a chipmunk, print out a picture and get either sticker letters or cut out yellow letters, however many there are children and play it the same way you would play pin the tail on the donkey, just tell them they have to pin the initial on whoever's shirt, whether's Alvin's Simon's, or Theordore's, go by whoever is your son's favorite.  You can do that with the tablecloth too, if your son's favorite is Alvin, make the tablecloth red and make the game be about Alvin.

You can do a scavenger hunt and play Where's Alvin?  Being he's the one always getting into trouble, you can have the kids follow picture clues and find alvin.  Make him be somewhere like in the freezer with the ice cream trying to get away with eating it or with the cake and tape a fork in his hand, somewhere silly where Alvin would be up to something, the kids would get a real kick out of that!   Make the clue out of pictures since this age group is not really reading clues, and they would have more fun with the pictures.



I would just do the decorations in the colors of their shirts and initials.  I'm really surprised that there's nothing out there.  I would check Toys R' Us toy sections and see what small toys that are affordable that you can find and I would go to the chipmunks website and see what they have there that they may offer some party things or things even just movie posters you can hang up, etc.
