Glamorgan’s skipper, Alviro Petersen, who top scored the game with 72 runs. His team-mate, Alex Jones, was the leading bowler in the match, picking up three for 16 in his three-over spell.
Petersen won the toss and decided to bat first on a flat batting wicket. He led from the front, guiding his team’s total closer to 200. Although the wicket remained good for batting in the second half of the match as well, the visitors failed to get any
where closer to the target set by the opposition.
The start to the home team’s innings was a terrific one, as opening batsmen, Petersen and Mark Cosgrove put together 63 runs in 7.1 overs. They made most of the batting power play, scoring runs at a quick rate. However, Cosgrove failed to capitalise on the
start to his innings and was dismissed after adding 31 runs to the total.

29 balls with the help of three fours and two towering sixes.
Petersen was the next man to follow, but he did a spectacular job for his team before being dismissed. The South African opener managed 72 runs off 48 balls, smashing nine lovely fours and one massive six.
Cameos of 22 each from middle-order batsmen, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glamorgan-c784 total to 199 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Middlesex bowlers didn’t have an ideal day in the field, as they gave away plenty of runs. However, Irish all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PR-Stirling-c2200, managed to pick up a couple of wickets in the match.
Middlesex’s target was revised to 183 from 18 overs, as rain interrupted the match for a while. However, none of the visitors’ batsman managed to make a big impression in the game.
