Question:

Always slowly skateboarding to the left?

I bought a cheap walmart skateboard to use to skate between buildings at school. Nothing spectacular no tricks or anything. Pretty much skating in a straight line. Since I’m not going to use the skateboard as a sport I bought the cheap walmart ones. I am now learning to skateboard. When ever I use the skateboard I end up slowly cruising to the left. Why is that? I have a regular position. Am I leaning too much on the heels of my feet so I’m forcing it to go left? Should I put more weight on my toes to balance the weight out?

If I get really interested in skateboard I may a better deck but right now I’m using a cheap deck to learn to skate.

thanks

  1. yeah, maybe you should try shifting more weight to the right.

  2. alot of people have that problem because when you ride regular your balance is more on your heels and that will make you lean to the side your heels are on a little.if you start getting interesting in skateboarding alot you can email me at richard.kennard@yahoo.com and i can help you out cause ive been skating for a long time

  3. You should just keep your balance in the middle of your foot, so it would be better to conrtol.

The best kinds of decks are...

    FOUNDATION SKATEBOARDS,

    BLACK LABEL,

    ELEMENT,

    ALMOST,

    BAKER,

    PLAN B,

GIRL [[I HAVE A GIRL AND ITS REALLY GOOD]]

  4. ya its just your balance that is messed up, fix that and youll be good. and btw its really not the expensive to buy a basic board. like 70-100 bucks go on to ccs.com you can build a board there or your local skate shop can do it for you too.

  5. it could be your trucks off centered. try making them tighter and see if the problem goes away

  6. you i used to have the same problem which is when you lean to consistently ride to one side of the board.  its really no big deal and you can correct it by just standing on the right side and kind of jumping up and down to even it out if you want

  7. yeah it could be the way your shifting your weight or because its a cheap board, you may want to check the wheels, they maybe loose.

    skateboarding is a lot of fun, stay with it you will be good soon. (-;
