Question:

Always thirsty in the morning?

Whenever I wake up in the morning I am always thirsty and have a very dry mouth, which can sometimes even feel painful. Sometimes even if I only fall asleep for half an hour I wake up feeling extremely thirsty, even if I have a drink before I go to sleep. Is this weird, or does anyone else get this?

  1. I get it too. Dont worry about it.

  2. I've never heard anything like that before.

You should definately see your doctor!!!!

its probably not that serious. but if it is something, it could get worse!!

  3. Well everyone sweats in their sleep so you loose water from your body in that way which if you sweat enough could make you dehydrated - hence the thirsty-ness, and also the dry mouth could be caused by sleeping with your mouth open? breathing in and out constantly for so long eventually just dries it up.. it happens to me in summer from the air con.

Hope that helps =] - also it wouldn't be a bad idea to check in with a professional.. just to be safe.. it couldn't hurt =P

  4. O God, You are my God;

    early will I seek You:

    my soul thirsts for You,

    my flesh longs for You

    in a dry and thirsty

    land, where there is no

    water.

  5. Kay,

When you sleep (considering you go to sleep for a long period of time) You're asleep for 12hrs. Imagine, if you were awake and not drinking for 12 hours! You'd get thirsty, naturally.

Moreover, I'd do a blood sugar test just to make sure but I wouldn't be too paranoid.

    Best of Luck,

    Darragh.
