The entries for the event include Alystar, Character Actor, Red Memo, Tequila Lord, Korean, Media Baron, Pretty Happy, Mount Welcome, Imaculate Rose and Tawrific Laois.
Here we try to figure out which trio of the ten runners will fill up the top three positions on the results card.
Alystar
Trained by William P Murphy, the six-year-old mare lifted up her morale coupled with the eye brows of the bookmakers by winning bagging an outstanding victory on November 20, 2011. In the fifth race of her career entitled as ‘Global Reach Securities 5yo
+ Confined Mares Maiden’, she performed extra-ordinarily well and notch up the top spot by beating her 10 rivals.
It was the maiden triumph of the mare who started her career on November 1, 2008. This success installed her as a blue-eyed runner for the bookies.
As a whole, the novice runner has run for total five times so far. She now seems to be in great form which is likely to help her thrive in today’s ace contest.
The Mrs Theresa Abbey-owned mare is likely to finish fist, having 90 percent chances to succeed.
Tequila Lord
The Moses McCabe-trained gelding is the second hot favourite runner for the Handicap Hurdle. The 10-year-old black gelding has been performing well, though not winning, since last six months.
In his last race named as ‘Clonmel Festival Week Handicap Hurdle’on February 2 at the same track, he finished 3rd. On the basis of this performance, it is being assumed that he will be able to do well again today.
As a whole, the veteran gelding has just one victory to his credit. He won the first and last race of his career on February 3, 2011. He has run for 21 times so far.
In today’s contest, Tequila Lord is likely to run nicely and finish second.
Korean
The 11-year-old black gelding has been in good form since last couple of months. The Sabrina J Harty-trained veteran runner finished second while running against 15 rivals in Home Of Ladbrokes Irish Grand National Handicap Hurdle on February 15, 2012.
Overall, she has run for 50 times so far but won only 3. His vast experience and recent form suggest that he will perform well today and finish third.
Conclusion
Overall, it will be a cool contest as most of the runners are currently out-of-form. However, the above trio will fight hard for success. Good luck to all the runners.
