Well there are no 125 4 stroke motocross bikes. 125 2 strokes compete against 250 4 strokes, and no the 125 is not faster than a 250F by a long shot.

You also have to take into account the age of the bike your looking at. As (obviously) a modern 4 stroke will be faster than a 10 year old 2 stroke. Not only due to the natural aging of the bike but also due to the advances in engine technology.

It depends what you mean by "faster". Typically a 2 stroke has a narrower powerband in each gear ie closer together, so acceleration is more rapid and pulling out of corners is quicker too. Top speed is likely to be higher on a 4 stroke though and the 4 stroke is more likely to be able to hold that top speed for longer without seizing.

Yes 2 strokes are typically faster for the same engine size of a 4 stroke motor. I would suspect that a 125cc 2 stroke and a 250cc 4 stroke would be a pretty good race.

normally yes due to there design...ie,no valve train/cogs/cam etc for the engine to turn...plus they rev alot higher due to there ballance
