  1. If you are still in the US, register the birth of your baby to the nearest Canadian Embassy in the US. The baby is already american by birth. Jus Solis.

If you are now in Canada, apply for a passport for your baby as it is already Canadian by birth because of you! Jus Sanguinis. The baby does not need a PR card.**

  2. you need to contact the US embassy in Canada not the Canadian gov.

did you get her birth registered with the US or were you married at that time ? or single?

you will need her birth certificate (original)

please go to this page to read about your child since she was born in the US , the baby  is a US citizen .

in order to register her ? you must contact the US consulate

    this page :

    Fees

There is a US$30.00 fee for the first notarial service requested, and a US$20 fee for each additional seal provided at the same time in connection with the same transaction.

There is a US$30.00 fee for each authentication service provided by a U.S. Embassy or Consulate abroad.

Fees may be paid in cash or by money order. No personal checks are accepted. Money orders should be made payable to the American Embassy or Consulate. (For example: "American Consulate, Toronto")
