Am I Above, below or average height for a 14 YR Chinese Male

Question

Hi, I am 14 years old and both my parents are from China and all my descendants relatives etc are all chinese, funny thing is I live in Manchester. I have lived there for 13 years.

My question is I am exactly 6FT tall, (1.80), is that average, below average or above average for a 14 year old chinese male.

wow. you're super duper tall for a chinese guy. im chinese and living in a country where most of the people are chinese and im 14 too but the tallest guy [same age] i know is about 175 cm. which is already quite tall. and im 163[but im a girl.]

and um, you're 14 and you have "descendants"?

im not being sacarstic. just curious.

um and yaoming is about 2metres ++++++++ tall

You are certainly above average both for your age and ethnic background. Blame or thank the good nutrition you have enjoyed in the UK (I assume Manchester, UK!) for the last 13 years. As you are presumably now in a growth spurt due to puberty you may not become much taller.

I have noted that when I am in Australia many of the younger Australian born Chinese boys are significantly taller than me (I'm 178cm), but the recent migrants are generally not.  When I go to Singapore or Malaysia the younger Chinese guys are generally about the same height as me, but when I am in Hong Kong, I can easily see over the heads of the crowds!  I can only put this down to the better nutrition the younger guys and their parents have received, as their national economies have become progressively richer.

Everybody grows at different speeds and your peers are sure to catch up with you pretty soon your still going through puberty so it does not matter what height you are at the average age that your body stops developing is 18-21 eat plenty of healthy foods have fun with your Friends and exercise you should be ok

all chinese are small apart from that giant bloke lol. 6 ft is a good height. well actually for 14 its ******* massive.
