Am I/ Am I not Pregnancy Question?

Ok, so here's the skinny-

I had a baby about a year ago. I was on birth control. No I didn't mess it up, no I didn't insert it wrong, no there were no weeks of discrepency. I was on the Nuvaring 6 months before I got pregnant, so I would like to think I was a pro at it by then.

Here I am, 1 year later and I believe I am pregnant again. I've taken store bougth tests, all negative. My husband is currently away and has been for a while, so I would be about 3 months. I'm feeling the same lower abdominal/whoo-haa cramps I felt about the same time with baby #2.

My body has already proved to be in the 1% range of impossible...or am I just nuts?

  1. I'd go to your OB/Gyn just for a check up and blood test just to make sure.  Make an appointment tomorrow.

  2. go to the dr.

  3. ok

because of the shoch last time this may simply be a scare in your own head

    go to ur doctor

knowing for sure will take the stress off the situation

  4. I doubt you're pregnant.  Not because of the 1% range (I got pregnant with identical twins 8 yrs after my tubal ligation!! lol!) but because by 3 months pregnant the store bought tests, although not near as accurate as a blood test, would definitely be showing heightened HCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin) levels by now.

I would, however, get thee to a doctor ASAP.  If you haven't been menstruating these past few months (you don't mention if your period stopped) or if it's been particularly light or just spotting, my concern would be that if you do not have a significantly high HCG level, it could mean that the cramping you are having is due to an impending miscarriage.

    Please see the doctor.

  5. If you are 3 months pregnant, you would be getting positive results on your hpt. You may be having a reaction to your b/c if you are still on it. You might need to have the dosage adjusted. I would go to the doc to confirm your HPT results or find out what else it could be. If you are 3 months preg you have missed some prenatal care. Gotta get going on that.
