  1. I would say you have more the edge of a defensive end

  2. You may want to include what level you are playing at?

Pop Warner - whatever you want to play. You are a huge 10 year old

High School (what year?) - depends on how hard you can hit

    Division X University/College - ???

    Arena League - mascot

Canadian Football - guy who films the other team during practice

European League - towel boy (gives fresh towels)

NFL - towel boy (collects dirty towels... ewwww)

  3. Well, it depends on what year you are in school.  Judging by your stats, I'd say freshman or sophomore in high school?  You've got plenty of speed to play either position (don't listen to the other posters, a 4.84 40 is quite fast for LB or DE...unless you are in the NFL or playing in the SEC).  Judging by your strength, I'd say linebacker would better suit you.  You've got enough speed to be in coverage and contain the outside running game.

If you are stronger than the kids that you play with/against, then I would say be a D-End.  With that type of speed off the edge, you could be a very dominant pass rusher, but you need to compliment that with strength in order to help with run support and bull rush offensive tackles.  Just remember that technique trumps everything on the line of scrimmage.  Work on good footwork and hand techniques; keep separation from blockers.  Good luck and remember to have fun!

  4. If you're talking about varsity football probably an outside linebacker you aren't big enough or strong enough to handle those big guys on the line but are very quick which you could use to your advantage at linebacker.

  5. i would say linebacker unless you can get a little bigger

  6. neither because you are not fast or strong enough for them. if i was you i will go to a cornner or safty.

  7. That's huge for a 6th grader.

  8. how old are u? if u r an upper classmen i would say linebacker because u r fast and not big enough or strong enough to play d end

  9. depends on your teams Defensive scheme but maybe Outside LB would better fit your size and speed!

  10. your not really ready for either if you wanna be a LB work on agility drills and try to get ur 40 to a 4.6-4.7 and if you wanna be a DE put on a few muscle pounds but ur speed would do you a great DE.

  11. You could be a roverback.

  12. I would say defensive end, but it depends on how fast you are on the edge and whether or not you can effectively evade blocks at the point of contact. If either of these two things troubles you, I would say LB (both positions are tons of fun, so feel free to try both and be a "falcon").

One key to both positions is to have a very strong core, so be sure to work those abs, obs, and pecs. This helps with speed, agility, and winning engagements at the point of contact.
