Am I Getting The Most From My Car Subwoofer?

I have a 12" subwoofer spec'd at 1000W max @ 600W continuous power with dual 4 ohm voice coils.

My amp specs are:

2 CHANNEL - 1000w MAX

2 CHANNEL [2 OHM] 200W x 2

2 CHANNEL [4 OHM] 120W x 2

1 CHANNEL MONO [4 OHM] 400W x 1

2 OHM LOAD CAPACITY

What will I have to check for to make sure the setup is correct to get the most bass or what other type of amp can I have to upgrade to?

  1. what you are looking for in the amp specs is if it is 2ohm mono stable. It has to say 600w x1@2ohms. It doesnt need to be 600w exactly but you are definately looking for a 2 ohm load on 1 channel, either mono amp or 2 channel bridged.

    wire it like this::

    Good luck
