Question:

Am I Overweight? Does anybody have any tips on losing weight without really picky dieting?

So I'm 5'9, and about 135 pounds. I wear a size 5 in jeans. And I'm a B36-B38.

I've done BMI calculators, and I'm in the normal range.

But I just don't feel normal around my friends.

I feel overweight and self-conscious a lot,

and I sometimes I feel like it tends to be a problem with guys,

because everyone else at my school is a size 00 through 3.

Do I actually have a legitimate reason to be feeling self-conscious like I am?

Are there certain exercises or diets anybody knows about that isn't too demanding?

And I'm already aware that you need to exercise daily and keep hydrated a lot.

I work out for about an hour a day,

and I drink PLENTY of water.

  1. That's not really that overweight. Girls who are a little chunky can be pretty s**y. Any skinnier and you might even look worse (though I don't know what you look like).


  2. You don't need to lose weight, 135 for 5'9 is small! Don't worry about your friends, everyone has a different build.

  3. You are most definitely not overweight! If you are working out and keeping healthy, then dieting isn't your solution because you are at a healthy weight and size (and you probably look d**n good too!)

    Being a size 0-3 is also overrated, and seriously, guys love curves more then string beans. If you're feeling seriously self-conscious and it's effecting your daily life, talk to someone you're close to about it. There are lots of ways to boost your confidence, and believe me, we all understand how you feel.

    but us girls can look at ourselves and go yuck! but other people think your totally fine and gorgeous lol it's a matter of the girl feeling comfortable of herself lol

  6. You need to have more confidence in yourself. Does it really matter if guys don't like you because you are not skinny enough? Do you really want to date someone that shallow? 135 pounds is not overweight for your height. I know girls here that are well overweight and still attract guys. Do you know why? Because they are confident within themselves.  

  7. You shouldn't be losing weight, losing more than 5 pounds will put you in the underweight category and that is very unhealthy.

    Of course you aren''t a 00, you are tall.  Most of the girls you go to school with are probably shorter than you and that's why they wear a smaller size.  You're not fat, your tall like a model.

    Working out an hour a day is enough, you shouldn't try to lose weight/

    Every teenager is self-conscious about what they look like.  Lots of those 5'1" 00s you know probably envy you for looking more grown up and less childlike.  Be happy with your healthy body.

  9. Some girls have really big waists, my sister did!That really isn't over weight for your height though! Hit the gym & keep up on athletics if you want to keep off the pounds!

    You sound completely normal for your height. Seriously. You do.

    But if you really want to lose weight, just exercise a bit more and eat a little healthier.

    Running is pretty good. Maybe some sit ups, too.
