Am I a Liberal or Conservative?

1.) Immigration should be less strict, I think they enhance our country.

2.) g*y marriage should be legal, (I can care less if they get married or not, it's their life.)

3.) If you smoke weed, you should be punished.

4.) I think guns should be limited, they are risky in my opinion.

5.) I think the social security can be fixed by making the rich and employers pay more.

6.) EVERYONE should have a right to free healthcare.

7.) Abortion should be legal.

8.) The war in Iraq was a big mistake.

9.) The death penalty should be enforced.

10.) Taxes should be lowered on the poor and middle class and increased for the rich. I would say rich is 300,000 a year or more.

11.) I agree 100% with stem cell research.

12.) I would make the oil companies pay more taxes.

13.) Religion should not be studied in school.

You are a democrat for sure, and you are a liberal as well, but like most people, it is rare to agree with EVERYTHING your party wants, so yes you are a liberal and yes you are also a democrat.

the only think you are Conservative on is 3 and 9, which is pretty hardcore to have only one or two disagreements. (by american standards)

The rest you either scored liberal (politics on social views) or democrat (politics on government involvement), people can be conservative democrats but you aren't though, once again you are a pretty hardcore liberal democrat. Obama would be your president of choice if your voting.

But most of these issues you've mentioned aren't really useful for framing political positions. Whilst conservatives are more likely to be anti-g*y marriage and liberals more likely to be pro-gun control, these are by no means central elements of conservatism or liberalism. The central issues are to do with taxes, the free market, social welfare, etc.

as for #3 being a conservative issue, not so fast. It was the progressive democrats in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that gave us the current drug prohibition, as well as the alcohol prohibition in the 1920's.

These positions are largely in support of social freedom but more restrictive in terms of economic freedom.  That would be liberal per the US understanding of the term.
