  1. not bad. practice always makes perfect but you should have no trouble at an audition unless you happen to be up against a very strong field. I had an audition recently and was up against Brian Blessed and Patrick Stewart. guess who didn`t get a call back?

  2. Hey Ali! I am Angela and I am also already in the acting business with 3 agencies. You did a good job. I think you should come on a little stronger as maybe like yell a bit in places to emphasize  the fact that you might have KILLED your father. I think overall you did a great job. Just make it seem like a big deal and now it's like....omg....i killed someone. great job though. if you need anymore help, i will help!

Good luck at your audition. i have been to many so just relax have fun and remember to be a little more dramatic.

  3. Well... you have a lot of work.

You're shmacting. You're trying to force emotion. You also rushed through it like none of the words matter. Explore each line. It was so depressing, no one wants to listen to a monotone depressed girl. Look for hope!!! There was no conflict. Instead of trying to cry, try not to cry.

Great attempt. Although I'd rather not be involved in the orgy of self promotion, I would take this to an acting teacher. You won't get any real help online. You really can't take advice from the first poster because manufacturing emotion is not organic. It's not real, it's "Shmacting" The one way person does it is not the way you should do it.

    Best of luck. You're brave.

  4. Well I think you definitely need some acting classes. It's not the type of performance that would make me want to cry with you, and for that type of piece, that should be your goal. To make the audience feel the pain of the character. Also, you need to be more comfortable speaking to the audience, because if you're not comfortable being yourself, it's going to make it a lot harder to be someone you're not when you're on stage in front of an audience. Also, if you're not confident when you're introducing yourself to the casting directors, they'll be less likely to cast you. Like I said, acting classes are going to be very important if you want to make a serious career out of acting.
