Am I a good Guitarist for my experience?

Question

i have played for 8 months. I can play Through the fire and the flames, enter sandman, rock you like a hurricane, crazy train, heaven and h**l, reptilia, when you were young, no one like you, train kept a rollin, welcome home, foreplay/ long time, number of the beast and one. I can play many more but i don't feel like listing them all. I have also wrote some songs. I practice 5-6 hours a day.

If you could honestly play all of that, you would hardly need the opinions of random people on this site.  I am going to agree; get over yourself.

I guess... So many of those songs are from guitar hero and rock band :P How much of each song do you know? What about all of the solos? What kind of scales do you know? A guitarist can know hundreds of songs but still not be very good until they fully understand the entire neck of the guitar. Get learning your scales and stuff! Also, how well can you jam? All of this tends to determine how good of a guitarist you are. I can't even play more than maybe 5 songs in full, and I've been playing for like 6 or even 7 years now, but I know a whole load of scales and melodies and can jam with the best :P Keep on rockin'..

It is impossible for ANYONE to be a good guitar player after 8 months.

Ask again after 8 years, or 18 years, or 28 years, maybe then you will be decent.

Get over yourself, dude.
