  1. i liked the last one best...the others are just ok.instead of centering the main subject on every picture try putting it more to the side just to make it more interesting. here are some good tips: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.j...

  2. first of all don't tell people you want honest opinions but not to tell you if they don't like them...that doesn't even make sense. anyway...

they are pretty good. the railroad tracks one would be better if you cropped out the house on the left. grafitti would be better if not centered in middle of photo. eye pic is way overdone! sunset is okay but its just one of those photos everyone takes. my favorite is the one with the bird in the tree. nice lighting and position for this one.

  3. yes i think your pretty good

i really like the last photo and the one of the bird in the tree

keep practicing using different settings on your camera, and editing isnt always a bad thing. try taking black a white photos, sepia, etc.

    also. how old are u?

    what camera are u using?

keep doing what u love. i think you clearly have an eye for photography but need to keep practicing and maybe take some classes.. you will get better in time.,

    hope this helps

  4. They show intention but not quality.  It almost looks as if they were shot in full automatic mode

Keep in mind you asked for Honesty and here are my comments.

Keep up the good work though!

  5. For 14 you are doing all right.  Nothing outstanding, but nothing really horrible either.  I am always happy to see shots that are not self portraits held at arm's length.  (Although you do have an eye shot, which is also bleh to me.  Eyeballs take me back to nursing school days and watching eye surgery on video tape.  Icky!)

The kitty is cute, but not in focus and the flash is too harsh, causing  glare, shadows and "pet-eye".   Trees and sunsets are pretty, but need good exposure and composition to look their best.  My favorite was the railroad tracks, although the composition is centered and static the exposure and focus are better than the others.  Your other shots have too much glare.  Try this:  The next time you are out at sunset, turn your back to the sun and try capturing whatever the sun's light is falling upon.  The play of shadow and highlight and the softer sunset lighting will make regular landscapes pop with dimension.

Take some classes in school if you can.   Look at and study good images from magazines and good websites, like  National Geographic, www.betterphoto.com, and  kodak.com. Begin to learn the technical and artistic sides to the craft and apply that knowledge to your photography.  You will see your images improve as you learn and your skills grow.  Have fun, you still have a few years before you have to select a career, and for most people, photography is a hard "row to hoe".  Best wishes!

  6. I think you should take a photography class because that would help you decided if you want to take up more photography in the future.  You need to study up on the subject.  You should buy a book and try out some of the techniques in it.  Also, take time to look at great photos and figure out what makes them great.  You photos are nice for you and your friends but there are millions of pictures just like those already.  Take you time to develop your skill, it takes time to get accustomed to the basics and learn your style.  Don't get discouraged with just a few photos, good photographers take hundreds and hundreds of photos.  I am a photographer who has had my work published in various magazines and newspapers.

  7. They are ok. Keep practicing. Study other photographers for ideas.
