Am I a "Nerd"???

great singer (tootin my own horn)

excellent writer

interviewed on television couple times a yer (gonna dance during the weather segment!)

I dont think I look nerdy- but im not the exact definition of cool.

Are your glasses taped at the nose support?  Did you wear slacks, a dress shirt, and a pocket protector to high school?  If you answer yes to these questions...  then yeah...  you're a nerd...  so what?  If you answered no...  then you sound to me like you were a very grounded kid who grew up in a good home with supportive loving role model parents, who have successfully prepared you for stepping out into the world, with all the confidence that you will succeed in life..  despite any setbacks that are enevitable anyway.   Go get em pal.  If you feel un cool by the way...  then perhaps you may simply need to lighten up a little bit from time to time, and do something spontaneously, out of character, and totally unexpected.  As I used to tell my kids...  go GET in trouble... it's Ok... just be a kid!   Safeway calls me and says "mr Smith...  we have your son Anthony here trying to buy 40 rolls of toilet paper"  So I said "Yeah...  so what's the problem... why don't you just sell it to him?"  The manager was taken a bit, and replied "Well we can't"  So I asked "Well why not?"  so he said "well you know, because he's going to go out and toilet paper houses with it."  So I said "Well of COURSE he is....  what else would he be doing with 40 rolls of toilet paper?"  I told him that I'd be right there.  When I arrived, the guy was baffled.  I explained it like this "You see my son is an honor roll student, and I would much prefer to have him out toilet papering houses...  than in gangs, doing drugs, whatever.  I insist however, that he only target a friends house, and that he helps clean up the next morning (assuming he got caught anyway).  And besides... I typically go with him and help!"  I think that poor manager had to pick his jaw up off the floor.  See my point here...  it is essential to let your hair down sometimes and just have some fun.  When you ARE then considered cool....  and STILL have your other qualities about you...  you won't be just cool...  but the COOLEST!  Cool AND Smart...  you will have to beat those ladies off you!   Trust me!
