Question:

Am I a racist or am I just overwhelming myself with too much thought?

Recently, I found out that my wife of eight years had been cheating on me. Initially, I was upset & extremely pissed off. Things took a turn for the worse when I found out she was having sexual intercourse with a black guy, a piece of information that was even more disturbing to me than the fact that she cheated. After finding this out, I became even more enraged, disgusted, & deeply depressed. I never thought of myself as being a racist, but friends have been stating that my reaction upon learning the guy's race clearly states otherwise. My wife & I are white. Does this mean I am a racist? I don't walk around yelling or even thinking about the N-word or any other hateful words; however, I did refer to her lover with numerous derogatory terms.

Man, nigs are inferior beings anyways.

  2. Whether or not you're a "racist" is the least of your worries !!! Y R these "race" Q's bein' sent 2 the g*y category ! HELLO - YAHOO !

  3. I don't think it's unusual for you to be extremely pissed off at your wife's lover. Even if you're not normally racist, your rage at that person will cause you to grope for any way to degrade and villify them, and their race is just the most obvious thing to grab at.

I can't blame you for losing your temper and becoming irrational in this situation, and I doubt you're a systematic racist otherwise.

  4. hey man, jst get mad at that guy, not the whole race, everyones differnt. im jst warning u for ur own good, tht if ppl find out ur being racist u could get urself in alot of trouble, and im srry about ur wife. u deserve better

  5. Too funny.  If you have to ASK "am I a racist", theeeen chances are you're guilty.

Would you have felt better if the guy that was banging your wife was white?  The point is your wife was cheating.  If the guy was pink, the fact that she was cheated doesn't change.

  6. Umm, I don't think so. I mean, if you're asking the question, your concern shows you must not be.

Derogatory terms don't have a specific race. Neither does anger, and that's probably what caused you to say all the things you said anyway.
