Am I able to use PayPal?

I'm 13, and I'm wondering if I might be able to set up an empty account under my parents' name (with their permission) and be fully able to use it.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Yes

  2. I'm not sure if there is an age limitation at PayPal without checking .. however, if there is, a simple solution would be for you to go with your parents and have them open another bank account.  They could then go to PayPal and set up an account.  Since PayPal only wants the login information, you would be able to use it.

Plus, your parents would be comforted in the knowledge that you could only spend what was in "that" account.  I wouldn't dare let my teenage son have free access to my checking account regardless how much I trust him.

Why? .. well, supposes he payed for something via PayPal at a friends house.  Friend made note of login info .. or perhaps password was even shared.  There would now be another teenager that might "NOT" be trustworthy.

  3. No , your parents can open one and you can have them buy the stuff for you. It would not be your and your parents would be fully responsible for it since they would have to give paypal their banking info.
