Question:

Am I acting childish?

My husband has picked pretty much every piece of furniture in our house. With the exception of my daughters furniture. We will be moving soon, and we have to down size big time. He hasn't discussed getting rid of one thing that he picked out to get rid of or sell. However our daughter has a wonderful bedroom set seems to be the only thing he is really interested in selling. It was her nursery for goodness sakes! He has his paintings, oversized office furniture that has plenty of storage space. All his old stuff that he doesn't use anymore. But he want to get rid of the one thing that I had a share in. The one thing that I have attachment to. Our daughter is only 2, and does not sleep in her own bed. But I do use her dresser. That's all I want to keep. Is that wrong. Why should I have to sell her things, why not his?

  1. You are not being childish, tell him how you feel.Marriage is a partnership to make it work, compromise is the key.Stand you ground,if he always gets his way all the time, he will continue to ignore your feelings and opinions and run over you.

  2. No. He sounds very selfish and controlling. You should have a say in things and if you don't then he sure isnt very interested in you.

  3. put your foot down its a 50/50 relationship you should be agreeing on everything that stays and goes and each of you should bend where needed. explain to him how much dressers cost and that you don't get enough when selling them to replace it down the line later. If that doesn't work crack him upside the head. jk

  4. Don't sell her things. Tell your husband that he's picked out all the furniture and that's something that you would like to keep for you guys daughter. I think he will honestly compromise especially when you show him the items that he's keeping that really aren't necessities
