Whenever I drink something such as a Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino, Mountain Dew, or Regular Coffee I make at home it gives to the runes, gas, and a stomach ache although nothing serious.

  1. "Physically, caffeine allergy attacks bring about anaphylactic symptoms like chest pains, hyperventilation, heat palpitations, tightness of the throat and difficulty breathing ... Symptoms of caffeine allergy include dizziness, restlessness, mood swings, inability to focus, over-excitement, agitation-just to name a few."

So no, I don't think so. More likely that its lactose intolerance, if it wasn't for the mountain dew. To be sure, see a doctor :)

  2. Caffeine is an extremely powerful stimulate, and can cause a number of symptoms.  Unfortunately, the stimulus effects not only our minds, but our respiratory systems, and digestive tracts as well.

One such common side effect is tachycardia which can result in palpitations.  A feeling that the heart is skipping beats, sometimes several at a time.  Stimulants, such as caffeine, can be a causal factor in this condition.

Since the digestive tract is also controlled by the nervous system, stimulants can also upset the regular functions of the colon and stomach,  causing problems as well.

Some individuals can consume vast quantities of caffeine and seemingly suffer no outward effects.  Many others, however, are not so fortunate, and find that even a moderate consumption can result in a number of uncomfortable physical symptoms.

Best bet is to try the decaffeinated versions of your favorite beverages and see if the symptoms abate.
