  2. Not sure about in the UK, but here in America, they make sure if you are parking at the station that you are on the train or at least have someone coming in on the train.

  3. I think you can get up to 30 mins free parking without anyone saying anything.

  5. No one will check, or know, whether you are on a train or not.  How could they? But you will find they are terribly expensive.

  6. Yes, but you should check the signs next to parking bays or machines - they should give you more insructions. Some of the bays are reserved for ticketholders of one sort or another, or on some of them discount will apply if you are a ticket holder. Mmost of the times it's "pay on display" . If not sure - you can always ask station attendant, they usually know.
