Question:

Am I allowed to bring Sea Salt onto a plane?

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I need sea salt to clean my belly button and lip piercings, and I'm flying to Colorado tomorrow. Will they think that I have some sort of drug in the container and not let me bring it?

  1. Contact your airport right away, this can differ per airport. I would just bring a really small amount in a transparent ziploc bag, they will probably not even see it. If they take it out and ask about it, just say that it's salt and let them check if necessary.

If you explain your situation, it will most probably not be a problem. Is your flight that long that you can't wait until after the flight?
