I'm going to Disney World in 5 days but I don't feel comfortable checking my seven hundred dollar video camera with my suitcase. Only because last year all of my Nintendo DS games were stolen out of my suitcase once I checked them at the airport.

I am flying JFK through Jet Blue. I know airlines have stricter rules since 9/11, such as no water bottles or liquids.. so can I bring a cam corder?

  1. Yes you can.  At the security check point, they usually have a sign to take camera's, laptops, etc.. out of there bag and put them through separately.  I've flown a few times since 9/11 and have never packed my camera in my checked baggage.  For a detailed list of allowed items, you can check on your airline's website or go directly to the TSA website.
