  1. Right after 9/11 they were keeping things like tweezers & clipper , found in checked luggage . I think that rule has changed as far as checked luggage . A definite "no" for carry-on . It also depends on what state you are flying in or out of . I've had a variety of different experiences . I prefer to drive when I want to be sure my belongings will not be "lifted" . I understand Homeland Security . However it does get frustrating when the rules change at random state to state . be absolutely sure what you put in carry-on BEFORE boarding . You will permanent loose that item . There will be no time to make other arrangements for the item as you will miss your flight . Call you airlines if in doubt .

  2. Yes, you can pack hair clippers in your checked luggage; there's no reason they'd be removed from your suitcase (unless somebody working at the airport steals them).

  3. i don't uderstand "edwardmo" answer.

yes you can bring them. no problem just put it in you checked baggage that as you said will not be your carry on.

its perfectly ok to take them.

  4. I fly all the time, and I've never seen a rule against packing clippers.  If the clippers are in your checked baggage, there is no way an alarm could sound!  If you want to make sure, just call the airline that you booked your flight with.  They can tell you.

  5. I am an airline pilot and get asked a lot of questions as to what someone can bring.  Checked luggage can contain almost anything that isn't potentially explosive (such as aerosol cans).  Clippers will sit quietly in your luggage in the baggage compartment and cause no harm.  There is a strong possibility that the TSA will not allow you to take the clippers in your carry on, so check them with your luggage to avoid any hassle.   If you would like a good list of what is/isn't allowed, check the TSA's website shown below.

  6. You can't. Hair Clippers Do have a material that make the alarm to sound when u board the plane.

  7. you can check in a gun if you want too.
