  1. please see the attached link for your answer.  It says only the first four inches may be tinted.

    http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/CA/

In addition, it also says State law does NOT allow medical exemptions that would allow you use special tint.

  2. You'll want to check with your local DMV on laws concerning that. I know that where I live you can do it with a medical note. A friend of mine has 5% tint on his windows and has his front windshield tinted to something around 7%. He gets harassed by the cops, but it's legal for him because he has a medical note.

It may differ in your state though. I know you can put vinyl on the top of your windshield - from the top down to the line marked on the sides of the upper windshield. You'll know what lines I'm talking about when you look. There is usually a small arrow pointing to the line as well.

  3. In most states the answer would be yes but not the complete windshield, only the top section and if you required the complete windshield to be tinted so that you can see then you would stand the chance of not driving because they would think that this could be dangerous to you as well as others.....

  4. You mean to change the color of your windows? Why would you need a doctor's note for that???

As far as I know, what you are not allowe to is to put anything in the window that obscures it so as to make it impossible for law-enforcement officers to see tru. Changing the color of your window should not be a problem, if you can still see throug.
