Am I allowed to write a tenacy agreement & say if u r one week behind I can kick you out?

& they sign it Or do tenants have rights?

  1. You can write whatever you like, but good luck getting anyone to sign a rental with that language. Try to modify it a bit.


  2. You can issue a 3 day pay or quit notice if the rent is not paid on time. They'll have 3 days to pay or move out. Assume they pay within 3 days, but it happens again next month. You can once again give them a notice.

    If they continue to pay late, you can then evict them. There is no need for that statement in the agreement.

  3. In the US, you cannot write any clauses that remove any of a tenants protections under the law ... such as due process for evictions.

    If you are getting into landlording. I strongly suggest that you get the relevant laws and learn what your rights and responsibilities are. If you don't know the laws, a tenant that does can leave you looking like a fool.
