Honestly has the following thought ever occured to you, and I just want to know how you dealt with it? "What if what you are reading and memorizing for a test is wrong, how are you going to find out. Isn’t it better to look at things and discover them with your own insights, because your way could be more beneficial then the scientists of today. Isn’t this what past scientists like Newton, Einstein, and Benjamin Franklin did when they created their discoveries, or did they read others discoveries first. What if the past scientists are wrong and you think you could do a lot better." This is just a thought. Just answer the first question in this paragraph that's it. Thank you in advance!

I just want to know if you have ever thought about this or am I the only one. If you did how did you deal with it? Thats it!

  1. Just because you are going against the common thought so to speak does not necessarily mean that you are incorrect in your conclusions. Scientific theory, although tested time and to give the same results does not make that scientific fact immune to the advancement to human thought. Almost everyone in the general populations believed that the scientists which you brought up were in fact wrong. Don't let that discourage you. Upon completion of the CERN high energy particle accelerator scheduled for late this year, we may discover that our current view of physics, and coincidently; all other fields of science as we know it may need to be tweaked to support new findings. Long story short, if you put your trust in human reason, you will most certainly need to adjust your thinking from time to time.

  2. When you get right down to it, every bit of 'science' is just a theory.

All of Physics, Math, Biology, chemistry...we humans are all just taking our best guess at how it works and what it all really means.

On one hand, you can stand alone and try to explore the truth, but on the other hand you can't _survive_ or discover the truth alone [you probably wouldn't want to]

Einstein died pursuing his GUTS [grand unified theories] but he did not and could not throw out the other theories of matter or relativity that existed before his general and special theories were accepted and proven by experiment.

if you go it alone, without support, you are easily labeled as a crackpot, and others would rather _share_ in your discoveries rather than have you dictate them.

so you need to take in what they are teaching you, find the inconsistencies, and begin filling them with your imagination. Design some tests to prove or disprove what you imagine, and continue building the truth. Take people along with you that hold the same truths important.

  3. I suppose its possible. But the scientists of today have done so many tests and experiments that most things, it would be hard for them to be wrong on. Theres not a real way of dealing with it. Just study how it is on the tests, and answer it that way. (if you want points that is). And if later on, you want to move into that field, thats the time to prove people wrong.
