Am I allowed to take pictures of the clouds and other stuff from the airplane window?

The seatbelt sign has nothing to do with it.

On some flights they tell you to turn off all

electronic devices shortly after takeoff

and shortly before landing, which also just

happen to be the best times to take such pictures.
