I only drink when I go out (once, maybe twice a week). But when I do, I get HAMMERED. I mean to the point where I can't feel my face or remember my name. Black outs are very common.

  1. Wow.  I like to get drunk too, but I also like remembering where I am.

How about cutting it back?  Or see if you can?  If you get drunk but have an uncontrollable urge to just drink into oblivion then yes, I'd say there is a bit of a problem there.

Or, you can really test yourself and when you go out have a limit.  "I'm only having two alcoholic drinks tonight".  Do this for a month.  See if you can train yourself to cut back.

If you can't, then again, seek help.  Good luck but be more careful and DEFINITELY DON'T DRIVE.

  2. maybe not an alcoholic, but you seem to have an underlying issue when it comes to going out, are you nervous about going out?

do you want to drink, even when you don't go out?

  3. If you are a college student you're fine..... if not: YES

  4. if your asking this question then maybe you should get help.

  5. If you are drinking twice a week it is not considered an alcoholic. It means you don't drink responsibly!

  6. Not really.  You sound like you're just young (with those habits).

If you are still doing it and pushing 30, you've got a problem.

  7. If you are blacking out once or twice a week from drinking, then yes, you have a problem.

  8. Try to pace yourself so you don't get so drunk.  Or make sure you eat between drinking.

If you find you can't control how much you drink then you may actually be an alcoholic.

  9. I think it truly depends on age, marital status,& whether or not you are a parent. Now if you are a single, 22 year old, college kid, with no kids...then NO you are NOT an alcoholic..But if you are 35,married,with 3 kids...then YES..

  10. ...as long as you still feel like you can go wihtout alcohol you are safe....but if you feel irritable or aggitated when you go with out alcohol then you might have a problem....but just drinking alot is not what makes up an alcoholic.... i drink ALOT often and i am not an alcoholic....

  11. You are leaning more on the side of an alcoholic because you do not drink responsibly, you constantly drink (once or twice a week), and if you ever get into a car drunk you might kill someone and that's NOT GOOD and it is a felony in any state. As you go through your normal, every week black-outs your brain gets damaged and grows largely to the point where it can kill you. Also, drinking to much alcohol damgages and destroys your liver and other organs.

Im not saying you can't drink ever again, but you must not drink so much like you are doing now.

  12. if you can stop then no.  i go to sleep plastered almost every night and probably can't stop if I tried.

  13. You are not an alcoholic, but you should probably try to slow down, because you do not know what is going on when you black out. That is a good way to get yourself raped honey.
