Am I an atheist/atheism, yes or no?

I don't believe in God at all or that he created Earth or anything.

But I do believe that ghost exist and paranormal things.

You do not believe in God (or gods) therefore, yes, by definition you're an atheist.

You happened to be an atheist with some supernatural beliefs which isn't the norm but not unheard of either.  Nothing wrong with a few unconventional beliefs (especially if you have evidence or personal experiences which support these beliefs).  Just make sure you understand that your beliefs about things (just about all things) are BELIEFS (not facts).  Be willing to entertain new ideas and keep an open yet critical mind.  

BTW An agostic holds the opinion that it is neither possible to prove nor disprove the existance of God (i.e. they basically stand on the fence and live in a state of suspended judgement - a very good thing to do regarding many issues not just God although very hard...)...  I just thought it was important to point out that there IS a difference between atheists and agostics - a lot of people don't seem to be aware of this distinction, though.

You're an atheist. The only requirement to be an atheist is to not have a belief in any god. If you believe in even one of the many thousands of gods humans have invented, you are not an atheist. There are atheists who believe in all sorts of things, including ghosts, but none of them believe in any god.

You disbelieve one myth, but not another, what is your logic for this?

Isn't it like saying I believe in vampires but not werewolves?

But before you decide that god doesn't exist, how about maybe peoples perception of god is wrong.

Maybe worshiping god isn't right.

We don't worship the wind, fire or water, these are all powerful things, maybe god is just another natural wonder that never got explained right.

Your right... don't bother asking on R&S... its filled with ignorant people that will do two things:

1. Cuss you out, and often tell you that you are an awful person and that you deserve to die.

2. Report your question for no reason.

If you don't believe in God, then yes, you are an atheist. Welcome to the club! At astronomy most of the people that hang around here are atheists... and no, we are not bad people because we don't believe in God... don't let anyone tell you that you are.

Proof...hmm, interesting. Now, you thought Science (the one we call so!) has all the apparatus to prove all the penamenon. Well, now can science prove that you've mind? Or does that make you mindless..lol..don't mean to offend ya but just think about it. What we've with us is not sufficient to prove everything. Each one comes up with his/her own definition, so I dunno which one u do not believe. If atleast you belive you've a mind, learn meditation from a good master and try finding answers to such questions yourself.

This question has absolutely NOTHING to do with science or astronomy. Just because you feel intimidated to ask your question in the right section doesn't mean you can ask it anywhere you please. If a potential christian ask whether or not they were actually a christian in this section they would be getting nuttin' but flack from all the God/christian haters here. In each one of us God place the knowledge that proves that he exist. That way there would be absolutely NOOOOO excuses on Judgement Day-Sorry non-believers!
