Am I being overly jealous?

My girlfriend's "best guy friend" was recently in a car accident. He is on life support. He's all we've been talking about lately. She gets all excited to know that he tried to open his eyes. Don't get me wrong, I can kinda understand but what doesn't make sense to me is that she doesn't care or talk this much about anyone else. She has also been crying, which i suppose is normal, but i would still like to know your opinions, since he isn't dead yet. I've also felt that we have grown apart, and we seem less interested in each other, but every time i try to end the relationship and stay as friends, she doesn't want to. So i really need your help, and hopefully I'll get your opinions and answers to all my questions. Anything is greatly appreciated.

It's her best friend. Maybe she does like him but she doesn't want to leave you because she needs support and if he dies then she still has you. And then again maybe she is moving away from you cause you said you wanted to just be friends so she knows you don't like her anymore. Or maybe it is because you don't seem to care about her maybe dying best friend.

Maybe she talks about him a lot because she is overwhelmed? she is probably worried for him and is thinking about it so she is talking about it. don't sweat it.
