Am I being stupid with my cd collecting?

I feel like buying two of the same cds. One to open and upload to my ipod, the other to keep it sealed and saved to collect. I feel like doing this for all my underoath records. they aren't the beatles, but they are my favorite band.

btw anyone know where i can find a gold they're only chasing safety vinyl?

I mean does an opened and used cd just for a one time uploading to the computer ruin the value? or is it no longer mint? It's for my own collection. I don't think i'll sell it. well who knows.

  1. You can collect dishes if you want.

  2. I'm not familiar with your band... BUT if it's an "up-and-coming" band, it's a good idea !!  I worked with several small bands in high school and college and did recordings

It was on an ANCIENT technology called "TAPE"... but I have sold cuts over the years... was an young band "Huey Lewis and The News".

  3. you should get 2 cause keeping sealed could make it worth more if you ever decide to sell them

  4. If you can afford to do it the way you're doing it, go for it.  You're supporting your favorite band.

I personally would buy it once, and if I didn't want to open it, would find it online and download it (in addition to buying the cd).  Itunes has got to be cheaper than buying the whole cd, no?

  5. I doubt underoath cds will be worth anything at all ever.

  6. Who is underoath?
