Question:

Am I being too tough on my kids?

I just got home from my local CCC mtg where we are campaigning for McCain, only to find my 6 yr. old had handcuffed my 3 yr. old to a chair and was whaling on him with my 10 mos old milkbottle, formula is all over everything, my 7 yr. old has been waxing my 5 yr old's cat and my 2 yr old is trying to make a grilled cheese sandwich by sticking it into the VCR.

Should I send them all to bed with no supper or is that being too strict?

  1. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, who's watching after those kids?   Did you leave them by themselves?  And you have how many?

  2. This truly dosnt sound right... Im not so sure you left all those kids at that age alone while ur at a meeting without some kind of adult supervision. I think your just bored and have way to much time on ur hands and wanting to see what kind of reaction you would get out of all of us.. I think you should feed your children well and put yourself to bed with no supper... lol

  3. it this is a joke it is not funny and if it's real oyu need your kids taken from you

  4. you should send them to bed with no supper. and then have a long, long, long, long talk with them during or after a nice breakfast.  doesn't hurt to be strict every once in awhile

  5. You need more sets of handcuffs.

  6. OMG!! Sounds like a nightmare. I don't know if going to bed without dinner is the best thing, but I would make the kids clean up the mess and they will not be aloud outside at all tomorrow. I wouldn't keep them from eating a meal though.

  7. Feed them then punish yourself for not finding a babysitter!!

  8. Next time, tell the trolls to handcuff all the kids together in the living room and you won't have any problems.  Or handcuff them yourself before you leave and then you won't have to worry about the trolls not watching them.

  9. WHAT KIND OF PARENT ARE YOU???!!!!

You know the golden rule of parenting with toddlers?

Keep'em chained to the shower rod until you get back home!

  10. I would have beaten the snot out of the 6 year old and let the 3 year old go, he didn't do anything wrong...

  11. The fact that you don"t have a DVD player for your two year old to grill a sandwich in, is punishment enough.

  12. who was watching your kids? no don't punish them that way that's neglect. whoever was watching them if there was anyone they should know better it's not the children's fault.

  13. Okay, where's the supervision in all of this.

Tell the kids what they did was wrong, and "punish" the "adult" watching them.

  14. LOL... i don't know if this is real or not but if it is then your kids are not at fault.....who was watching them? It is the babysitters fault or if you were stupid enough to leave them home alone then it's your fault...kids will be kids if you let them get away with it

ok LOL...now I'm convinced it's made up... are you sure it was trolls that led to your last account being suspended??

  15. You are too funny!  LOL

  16. Where were you when all this was going on?

You cannot punish a child by neglecting food. That's child abuse.

You need to relax and take care of them.

  17. Wheres the baby sitter in all this?

  18. well super is important at those ages but i sure would ground them. Who the heck was watching them? if it was a sitter she or he would be fired in a heart beat and if it was my partner well... we would sure have a talk.

  19. the day wasn't a total loss....at least you got out there and fought for McCain!!!!  hehe....

  20. You should not send them to bed without food because they might say that to some one else in public and people will think that you are abusive, although I think it is okay.  You should not give the dessert for a whole week or no tv, that is big to them!

  21. handcuff the 6 year old to let him see how he likes it

throw the three year old in the tub - old milk smells

give the 10 month old a new bottle

give the 7 year old a razor - the cat will scratch less and make a stuffed kitty for the 5 year old with the strips of cat hair.

Teach the two year old to iron his sandwich - the vcr doesn't heat it up enough and I think you are good to go.

    No punishing - just redirection

  22. they are kids still they need their appetite.

  23. Why do I get the feeling you are really an Obama supporter trying to make McCain supporters sound like irresponsible rednecks?  Yes sending them to bed without supper is the wrong type of punishment.
