Question:

Am I considered hispanic?

My family are of Spaniard (SPAIN) origin. We are dark featured and have olive skin. We also have a bit of Adai Indian in us (if you do not know what Adai Indians are look them up they are from Louisiana and are part of Spaniard culture in LA).

My relatives speak Spanish, but only when needed.

  1. Great answer from mikey! Noticing that "hispanic" and "latino" seem to be used interchangeably in North America, I had occasionally wondered if there were nuances in the meaning of the terms.

  4. kind of, but people from spain are white europeans.   BTW latino is a mixture of spanish and and the natives of south america so you would not be considered latina.
