You can use some as "being of an indefinite number or quantity" only when the noun is in plural or is a uncountable noun and it always doesn't mean "being of an indefinite number or quantity" when the noun it modifies is in singular?

  1. If I read that as a definition it would confuse me even though there may be 'some' truth in it.

'Some' examples would illustrate what you are trying to say.

  3. When you say some as in "being of an indefinite number or quantity," your noun must be in plural or be an uncountable noun indeed.

You can't say: Some day, I feel very bad because I didn't sleep very well.
