I am taking the LIRR and don't have reserved seats. I don't care too much about having a great view. Its' part of a bachelor party and I don't want to sit for 6 hours waiting for post-time. Thanks!

  1. The crowd is a pretty constant flow into the Belmont Park during the afternoon and you will probably be in the second big wave getting into the facility. It isn't a bad time to begin making your way to the vast grounds for the reason you are attending.

  2. I would think thats going to be a bit late ,, I think they are 3 hours ahead from where I live

so I would say yes get there earlier

take your buddies with you from the party

  3. Oh my gosh!!! I have always dreamed of watching the Belmont Stakes in person... you should go if you have never gone.  If this is old stuff and you've 'been there, done that', then stay home and enjoy it with family and friends.  If you are going to hang out and support your good buddy because he will soon get hitched, then be a good sport and go pat him on the back.  But make sure you make a day of it and leave early!!!  Good luck and don't wager much. Just plan to spend your day well and have fun. However, if your situation is kind of a loner deal and you don't really have company, then just watch it where you know you have a good view (on TV) and relax safely at home or at a friends house hanging out. Just do what you feel is best.

  4. that'll work out fine.

race doesn't start till approx. 6:30.

If you get there at 3 - thats plenty of time to lose all your money before Big Brown wins and pays $2.20 (or $2.10) to win.

..... but you will be able to say u were there when bb won the Triple crown.
