I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first child. My husband has 2 brothers, his dad has 2 sister and his grandpa has 5 brothers and no sisters! So I was wondering Am I destined to get all boys? Or dose this matter? Has anyone else been in a simliar situation? What happened to you.?

Don't get me wrong I will love my children no matter their gender, but It would be great to have a daughter!

  1. I hope not cause I would be in the same boat... My husband has 5 brothers by 2 different moms... Soo I'll send girl hopes your way if you send them mine! Good luck and congrats they are fun

  2. Nope. I have a similar family and had 3 boys than a girl and am now pregnant with another boy. It's really all chance. There are some cases when some men carry more Y sperm (male) than X sperm (female) and vice versa but that doesn't have anything to do with their genes. It's the luck of the draw...who ever gets there first!

    Best Wishes =]

  3. random

  4. I have 4 brothers and almost all my cousins are boys.   However, I have 2 girls and 1 boy.    No one was more surprised then I was when my girls were born.   :)

  5. That's ok, boys are WAY more fun than little girls.

I should know I have 5 of them.

My Husband is one of 6, all 5 siblings are girls. I am an only child (biologically), and don't let the name fool you, I am very much female.

After carrying 4 boys, and adopting my 5th, I am very happy with my sons.

I don't really like the colour pink anyway.......

  6. i could see you having a boy.

my great aunt has 3 boys and now one of her sons got his girlfriend pregnant. the babys a boy.... lol.

  7. I  am one of 4 boys.  I have all male cousins on my mom side and very few females on the dad side.  We thought for sure we would get a boy we have a two year old girl

  8. my 10th grade biology teacher once said, for women who clean themselves good( clean ears, and belly buttons) are more likely to get girls than boys.

  9. I dont think it matters.  My husband has 4 brothers and 1 sister.   I have a brother and my mother has 4 sisters.  I had 2 boys first and then finally a girl.  All of my husbands siblings had girls.  I think its just "luck of the draw".  Whatever is meant to be, will be!  Congratulations and good luck.

  10. all that matters is who is the fastest swimmer =)

  11. The father determines the gender; well, his sperm does anyway.

My grandparents (on my dad's side) had two boys- my dad and my uncle. (I'm not sure about their siblings).

On my mom's side, my grandma had two sisters, no brothers, and my grandpa had 7 or 8 brothers, and no sisters.Together, they had two boys, two girls- my mom, aunt, and two uncles.

My uncles each had two girls. My Aunt also had a girl.

My mom ended up with my brother and myself (a girl).

It just depends on if sperm carrying Y chromosomes (male) or sperm carrying X chromosomes (female) reach that little egg first.

    Good luck :D

  12. if worse comes to worse..trade them in!

  13. It doesnt matter, everytime you get pregnant it's a fifty-fifty chance. It all depends on wheather and X or  Y get in the egg first

  14. I don't think so. My husband has two sisters and we have two boys. Both his sisters have a mix. It's really just a 50/50 chance if it's your first child. They say once you have a child your percent chance to have that same s*x again goes up though but I don't even know how true that is.
