I'm trying to maintain a healthy "diet" because I have very bad allergys and asthma and want to feel better. Please tell me if I am missing something that I should be eating daily? I'm 20 years old girl. 5/6 122 lb.

(I'm not trying to lose weight so my "diet" is based just on being healthy.)

Okay, this is what I had to eat today.

For Breakfast I had 2 hard boiled eggs w/ 1 piece of whole wheat bread,1 grapefruit, a hand full of almonds, 2 hand fulls of grapes, w/ OJ to drink.

Drank water in between meals.

For lunch I had 2 pieces of baked chicken, steamed carrots & broccoli, tomato avocado side salad, drank green tea w/ lemon & honey.

Drank water between meals. Some low fat no added sugar granola for snack and an apple.

For dinner I had one bean & cheese burrito, salsa, guacamole, baked corn chips. 100% no added sugar Cranberry/ apple juice to drink.

For snack water, low sugar strawberry yogurt, carrot sticks, 1 orange. Also I take a Multivitamin w/ added iron. I exercise every week day for 1 hour and a half. I now it's sounds like a lot but I need that much food to nourish my body properly. (I think anyway.)

Thanks :)

  2. Greetings it is commonly known that diets are useless for permanent weight loss. I propose that  you go on down to http://xil.in/6407/ its an awesome site with some great free help and support. I lost 5 pounds in five weeks by following their tips

  3. don't ya just hate spammers?

anyway, i think your diet was very goood, and it seemed like a good amount of healthy foods, you might loose a few pounds though if you're changing your diet and exercising and stuff, but you'll gain muscle if you exercise, and loose some fat. But keep up the good work, and make sure you mix things up every once and a while so you don't get bored!

  4. Your diet sounds great! Lean protein with every meal, plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats.

You may want to add some Omega-3 supplements (fish oil) and/or add some ground flaxseed to your yogurt snack. But other than that, it sounds great.

You are absolutely right that you need that much food to nourish your body, since it sounds like you are very active. Just keep doing what you are doing and keep an eye on your body. If you find yourself losing weight, just make your portions slightly larger, or add another healthy snack. If you put on a little fat, just drop the calories a little.
