Am I doing okay with my rat?

Question

Right now I am letting her free range on my computer desk and am giving her treats periodically (small portions) and petting her softly, which she lets me do without hesitation. Today she became more adventurous, and is going through a testing phase with her teeth. When she tries to chew on wires I squeak at her and move her away. Am I doing alright? She seems to be doing pretty well and when she's tired she lets me pet her nose softly and she nudges back and sleeps. This is okay, right? I just want to make sure I'm doing things okay

absoulutly fine. just make sure to give her discipline if shes being naughty like spray water at her if shes done something naughty

That sounds like you're doing fine, but maybe you could spray some stop chew on the wires, so you don't have to make noises at her everytime, or maybe you could hide the wires- even if she doesn't bite THROUGH, she'll be wearing it away and making it more likely for the machine to break, or for you or her to get an electric shock.

Sounds like you have it under control you might teach it that there are certain places it can not go my girls know when I have them out they stay close to me and on my shoulder most of the time they like down my shirt. they also like hoodies
