  1. Hey there!

I just graduated high school, and for four years I was involved in Varsity tennis, drama club, student council, nhs, a private theatre group, a dance troupe, a choir, NHS, my church group, and spirit club!

At times, it felt like too much to handle.  But looking back, I am so happy I stayed in all of these activities.  I met so many new people and was exposed to so many new ideas.

It sounds cliche and blah blah blah, but school really should come first.  grades are what get you to college! activities just boost your application! if you activities are really interfering with school, then you need to start thinking about downsizing. Most club leaders should understand that school comes first, they may even let you tak a break for a while.

If school is fine, though, and you want to stay in all these clubs, I'd say keep at it!  It's four years of your life you can't get back, and the time to test out everything you like and see what fits! Just give yourself a break every once in a while. Sometimes it's easy to forget you need to slow downnn.

Best of luck! Have fun! It goes by wayyyyyyy too fast!

  2. If you want to do all of those activities and you can cope with them, don't worry about it sounding like too much. However, if you can't cope with it all then you're gonna have to make a sacrifice.

  3. Yes... for most people that would be way too much.

Life is about choices...learn now that in order to reach the top in any field...you need to start young and devote yourself completely to what you choose.  Don't worry...life is long...you will have the opportunity to excel at several careers before you run out of steam.

  4. Wow !!!!!!!! I don't know how you accomplish all of this....but I bet your a good kid, you don't have time to get in trouble.....If this is all too exhausting for you I would eliminate something that you enjoy the least.....with all your school work this sounds like a heavy load, I don't know how you do it !!!!!!!!!!!! How is your stress level ???? If you can handle all of this go for it, but it sure sounds like a lot to me !!!!!!!! When do you find time to even eat and sleep ?????? I know that this would be too much for me, I have a lot that I'm into, I teach acoustic and classical guitar, and do a lot of other things but what you do tops me !!!!!!!!!

  5. I do a ton of stuff too. I am involved in theater every day after school for basically the whole school year, I am on the newspaper, I am a peer educator, I sing in the a cappella group, I am on student government, and I work at my job 20 hours a week. For a lot of people that would be overwhelming, but I am able to handle it while still keeping my grades up and have a good social life. If you can do all your activities while still maintaining the quality of your school work and you aren't dead every night and weekend, then you arent doing too much. If your grades start to slip, or you are completely exhausted, then you should probably drop something. No one can tell you what is too much... you have to find it out for yourself because everyone has a certain limit to how much stress they can handle before cracking. Good luck!
