Am I eligible for Italian Citizenship?

Question

My Grandfather was still an Italian Citizen when he emigrated to Australia and when my Father was born, therefore is he (my father) automatically an Italian citizen? To his best knowledge, he never formally renounced his citizenship, therefore if my dad is technically an Italian citizen, can I qualify as well?
