Question:

Am I expected to stay a kid forever?

I'm grown, & I have a college degree. Just because I'm mentally disabled, people act like I don't have a right to get married, have kids, get a job, get a car, get a house, etc. Why do outsiders think it's THEIR place to control my life! I feel like I'm living in prison. I feel like a kid trapped in an adult's body.

  1. mentally disabled na man your no kid u have a college degree ffs

  2. To them, maybe.

But you have to prove them wrong.

From that question, you definitely don't sound like a kid.

  3. They can't stop you. Ignore them, they don't understand, they're just worried that since you're different you aren't capable of having a nice family. I'm sure they told you you couldn't go to college either, so good for you, you are doing what they don't expect. Just do what you want, and maybe their opinions will change when they experience your strength and will. But if not, ignore them, hold up your head and live your life. Be happy that you aren't so weak as to judge and try to control others.
