Am I getting close to going into labor? Will I go before my due date?

I'm 36 1/2 weeks, lost my mucous plug about a week ago maybe, and I am 3cm dilated.

I lost my mucous plug and weeks later, still now baby. I had to have a c section.

Not too much longer to go, mostly the mucus plug goes  up 2 weeks before labor, good luck!!

Well, losing the mucus plug is a sign labor is beginning. However, the plug can come out as much as 1 month before or even the same day you have the baby. Have you had any other signs? For me I had the plug 1st- 2 days before actual labor. Then I got diarrhea, nausea, - the day before. The the day of around noon I started to bleed a little- the a little more. I began having light contractions about every 20 minutes for a few hours, then about 6 pm they got worse, and at 10 pm I went to the hospital. And they confirmed I was in labor- Yeah I already knew. At first you may be like "hmmmm, am I in labor" But then you will know for sure if it is the real thing. ALso with my second the water broke when I was sleeping. I got up to go pee. I thought I trickled on myself a bit. And it kept coming out. Just little tiny gushes, they wouldn't stop. And I started having contractions. I went to the hospital and they did some strip test. It said it was amniotic fluid. Then the gave me pitocin to help my contractions get stronger.

So it could be anytime from now until your due date. Just watch for more signs. Also, for my 3rd baby (thats all I have) my dr stripped my membrane. Thats when they take a finger or two and sweep it around the inside of your cervix and pull the bag of water away from the cervix to help stimulate the prostaglandins (the hormone that triggers labor) I went in to labor at 6pm and had him at 12 midnight. Fast labor- no epidural because no time- I waited to long to get to the hospital.So look this "stripping the membrane" or "sweeping the membrane" up online and ask you dr to do it at 38 weeks. Honey you can go into full blown labor any minute now. So stay close to home, keep numbers on speed dial, relax cause your going to need the energy. And wait. When I lost mine I was in labor within 2 days

I think you may go around 38 weeks!! CONGRATS TO YOU! I hope im just as lucky!
