Am I going crazy? Or is this normal?

As it would seem, I sometimes have trouble telling reality from fiction. That is to say, I have many memories inside my head. With some of those memories I can't remember if they actually happened or if they were merely from a dream I had at night. Also, I day dream a lot and have a vivid imagination. Sometimes I can't even remember if what I day dreamed was real or not. So whether I'm either awake or asleep I will dream. And sometimes I just don't know for sure what really DID and DIDN'T happen.

  1. yes

  2. I know someone just like this, she makes up stories and has gotten to the point where the stories have woven into her everyday life and she has no ideal what is fact or made up. She goes to a Dr. and still has the issues only the stories are more elaborate. I don't know what the solution is to this problem but if you can point it out at least you are heading in the right direction...

  3. No! You aren't crazy. That happens to me all the time. I confuse memories from when I was little to something I read in a book. I thought I was weird too, but then I read about it in psychology. It's just some glitch in your memory. I can't remember the psychological term for it, but I think it happens to mostly everyone!

I also do that with dreams, where sometimes I will think someone texted me and it turns out it was in my dream. It's so crazy when that happens. Almost like dejavu.

  4. If your crazy I am too. I have the weirdest dreams and when I wake up I can't remember if it was a dream or just a memory.

  5. that happens to me somtimes. but i have a short term memory problem.

  6. de ja vu   is a rare feeling .with the frequency u r mentioning u need 2 see a shrink

  7. either your exaggerating or you have a serious illness.

  8. you need to see a doctor about this trust me it doesn't just go away.

  9. When I get REALLY tired or if I over sleep I go into a misty day dream state where I just lose myself in thought. I even go through the scenario almost as though it is happening.

I think it's pretty common. Try tracking the hours that you sleep and what days you have these "day dreams" you might see a pattern.

    Hope that helps :)

  10. I am having the exactly same problem !

but the problem with e is that i day dream too much about any small stuff and thus i don't remember after a few days did it happen or not !

the solution according to me to rhis problem is that we rember deeply if it happened or not and decide likewise !

  11. lol datz normal..

  12. I, too, have had very vivid dreams that I weren't sure were real or imagined. But if you're having a really hard time deciphering dreams from reality, you need help.

  13. I don't think you are "going crazy", but that's definately not normal.

I would see a doctor as soon as humanly possible... and don't just dream about it!  Pinch yourself all the way into the hospital girl!

  14. You're losing touch with reality.   You're probably not getting enough sleep at night...

Are you crazy or are you just tired?  50/50 Chance.  You be the judge.

  15. i get that too,

    i'm pretty sure it's normal.

although i only get it with thinking i've done something when i was younger but it was actually a dream.

  16. No your not crazy you just have a overactive imagination.

  17. I don't think that's really normal, but it does happen to me quite a lot.

  18. The simple fact that you're questioning your sanity tells me that you're basically sane.  People considered "insane" don't ask themselves that question, they simply assume that their state of mind is "normal".  If you are however having trouble separating imagination and fantasy from reality, I'd recommend you seek some councelling with a qualified therapist to help give you the tools to cope with this problem.  Seeing a therapist holds no shame....it's on par with seeking medical help for an illness or injury.  At least to set your mind clear, go talk to a therapist....the results can be awesome.  Much luck :)

  19. I think you need to pay attention more. Because one day, someone will do something to you and you'll know it happened but they will say it never did and they would get away with it because others know you daydream a lot. You aren't going crazy, it happens to me, too. However, I do know what's real and what's not. It just takes a little bit of time to separate the two. Make sure you never associate yourself with people who will use this to their advantage, because there are plenty of those kinds of people around. We all know them. Con artists.

  20. It's normal for you I would say.  I have a little bit of the same problem.  I daydream alot.  I am daydreaming right now as I am typing :-)

Be worried when you start to dream about dreams.
